He also has been disciplined in jujitsu, Filipino martial arts, and shotokan. But he actually has a third dan belt in karate, which is higher than a black belt. I chose him because he is the main character, the protagonist, and is really the only character described in the book. One of the interesting characters in my book is named Jason Steed. Out of five stars I would give this book a five because it is one of my favorites. I would recommend this book because I have read it five times and still enjoy it. This book would not be appropriate for little kids because there is some blood and gore. This book is appealing to people under 15 because someone who is old enough to drive usually does not read “tween” book. ![]() No impossible gadgets or stunts, just a great book. I wrote a scene in which Stacey, my main character, was meditating in front of a blue candle. When I started the novel, I had no idea I would delve into the world of magic and witchcraft – that is, until I did a free-writing exercise in my workshop class. She needed to be flawed, to have secrets, and to have lots of opportunity for growth. I wanted my main character to be relatable for teens. I loved suspense novels as a young adult and I really wanted to write something that would have appealed to me at that age, adding in elements of humor, romance, and drama.
